CHANDLER, Ariz. – March 18, 2026 – VIAVI Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAV) has introduced its new Observer Threat Forensics solution, featuring advanced retrospective analysis capabilities. Designed to support the shift from siloed network and security teams to a converged NetSecOps framework, the solution provides a unified view of the entire organization, eliminates data gaps and noise, and enables post-detection analysis of breaches, intrusion points, and exposed data across network, application, and user domains.
The company will showcase Observer Threat Forensics at booth N5484 during the RSA Conference in San Francisco, CA, from March 23–26.
Why it matters:
According to VIAVI’s State of the Network study, 79% of 750 CIOs and CISOs want convergence, believing the traditional siloed model lacks critical visibility and introduces risk. However, only 27% of organizations have begun the transition.
Key capabilities and technology:
- Built on VIAVI’s legacy in network operations management, combined with secure network infrastructure and threat intelligence powered by CrowdStrike®.
- Unifies packet insights, flow data, and log telemetry into a single NetSecOps workflow with retrospective forensics.
- Delivers a simple, easy-to-read dashboard that combines site, application, network, and unified communications (UC) views, offering complete visibility into end-user experience, performance issues, and root causes.
“Observer Threat Forensics leverages common datasets already collected for our network performance monitoring platform. Because the network traffic, enriched flow data, and metadata are already there, NetOps and SecOps can use the same data to gain performance insights and investigate security threats,” said Chris Labac, Vice President and General Manager, Network Performance and Threat Solutions at VIAVI. “We’ve built in an advanced array of NetSecOps functions that together give better awareness across the entire enterprise, eliminate noise, and close data gaps.”
“By integrating CrowdStrike’s real-time adversary intelligence into VIAVI’s deep network visibility, organizations gain the context they need to quickly investigate incidents, understand impact, and stop breaches across domains,” said Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike. “Together, we’re helping customers unify NetSecOps workflows with the adversary intelligence required to outpace modern threats.”
Live demonstrations:
VIAVI will demonstrate Observer Threat Forensics at the RSA Conference as part of its NetSecOps lifecycle portfolio. Additionally, Chris Labac and Yury German, Senior Product Manager, will present NetSecOps: Network Visibility for Stronger Security and Performance at the RSAC Insights Theater on March 24 at 1:30 PM PT. VIAVI will also showcase CyberFlood security and network application performance testing at its booth.
